I have decided to take my photoblog over to another web hoster. The new site is much cleaner looking, as well as much easier to use. Along with that it also is a photoblog specific provider, focusing strictly on photography, unlike wordpress. So please update your bookmarks and favorites to my new site.

I will try over the next couple months to transfer all images from this site to the new one, so bear with me as I do that. Soon I will also have a nice portfolio page in which all my photos will be presented in a thumbnail format, and they can all be viewed quickly.

New Light

Not only does new living arrangements mean bigger windows, it also means new interior lighting opportunities. North facing windows (I find) give off the best light for indirect object lighting, and we’ve got a nice big one. We also have a large on in the living room, so if I arrange things properly I can achieve light from both sources. We’ll see what opportunities this gives me for shooting objects inside the house, this pineapple being the first I’ve tried. Slow shutter speed meant the photo is not sharp, I could go back and shoot it again with a faster ISO speed, but I won’t.
